Camera Shy

Ben has been smiling a lot more in the last few days - especially in the morning.  He gives us the best smiles after he wakes up and eats!

In order to capture his smile, though, I've had to hide the camera from him, so I can't get a very good shot:

Otherwise, he looks directly at the camera, and only makes this face:

I was getting ready for work the other day and had to stop and smell the flowers for a while when I saw this

He looks so peaceful, and sound asleep in this picture.  Like a little sleeping angel.

He's still a little angel, though.  Just a flailing, grunting, restless angel.

This morning, Ben flashed us a few more smiles!  This time, we got it on video:

First Smile!

This morning, Matt was holding Ben when I walked into the room. I sat down next to them and said hi to Ben - he looked right at me and smiled!! It was the sweetest smile in the world! We didn't get a picture of it, but we'll be on the lookout for the next one!

So in lieu of a smile picture, here is us hanging out this morning while Matt gets ready for work.

Hey, Ben

Ben is One Month Old!

I can't believe he's already a month old!  But then it seems like he's been around for a lot longer than a month, I can barely remember what it was like without him.  I do remember that I could shower whenever I wanted, for as long as I wanted, without the door open, though :)

He's been such an amazing part of our little family, and we're already so proud of him!  He had his checkup this morning, and he is now 22.5" tall, and a whopping 11 lbs. 1 oz.!

So far, this is what he likes:

• Sleeping

• Hanging out with mom & dad

• Chewing on shoulders

That's the bulk of his interests right now.  Oh, and of course eating!

We love you so much, Ben!  We're looking forward to another amazing month!
