He grew more out than up!

Oh, Ben.
What an amazing little boy he's becoming. We get glimpses of his personality every so often, and it's so exciting to see. We've only known him for three months, and we love every single thing about him.
We love the sounds he makes when he wakes up in the morning. We love seeing his little eyes staring at us through the mesh side on his bed. The rustle of the sheet as he moves his head around, and the smile he gets when we go over to pick him up out of his bed are so sweet.
We love the squished face he gets when we burp him, with his surprised eyes and fingers spread out. We love the way he rests his head on our shoulder - and when he's really sleepy, the way he melts into us when we hold him.
We love how he rubs his face, and throws his head back and forth to keep himself awake - as if there are too many fun things to do to fall asleep! We love the face he makes when we hold both his arms. We love his cranky yelps, and his pouty bottom lip.
We love his super soft skin, and his stinky cheese hands. We love his sweet glow worm smiles in the middle of the night, as we wrap him back up to sleep for a few more hours. We love how excited he gets when we tell him he gets to wear pants! We love that sometimes, all he wants is to be held.
I love that when I read him a book, every time I look from the book back to him, he's got a huge grin on his face. We love when he gets startled and goes into starfish mode, with his legs and arms spread out. We love how well he's growing, and what a big boy he seems like already.
This is what he's been up to this month:
- He's got really good control of his head now, but is still a bit wobbly sometimes
- He can grasp things - it's so cute to watch him hold on to his little cow rattle
- I gave him a balloon the other day, and he loved it! He watched it for an hour, mesmerized!
- He's gotten a little more comfortable with being on his belly, but still doesn't like to do it for too long
- He still makes his pouty sad face
- He can laugh! He's only done it once, so we don't have any video of it, but I can't wait to hear it again!
