He's starting to catch on...

Ben has started peeking around things to see us when he can't see our face. We love hiding and waiting to see his little blonde hair start to peek out from whatever it is we're hiding behind, craning his neck to find us!

Six Months

Six Months - 18 lbs. 6 oz. and 27.5" tall

Six months old! I can't believe Ben is half a year old already. He's growing up so fast, and getting so big - look at how much he's grown over the last few months!

He is becoming such a sweet, funny little boy. He's growing so quickly - it's hard to believe! He's already gotten another tooth, so now he has his bottom middle teeth. He's sitting even better, and now wants to stand up (with our help, of course)! He will tolerate tummy time for longer stretches - but still only when he's in the mood. He loves The Itsy Bitsy Spider and If You're Happy And You Know It, and when we play Pat-A-Cake with him (or more like at him) he gets so excited! He loves to play Peek-A-Boo and loves getting scared when you pop into view. He also particularly enjoys the Kit Kat and Oscar Mayer jingles :)

He is so much fun to wake up to. He's been getting up around 7:30am, and this face is such a great way to start the day off:

He is so curious and is always reaching for something, and of course wanting to put everything in his mouth. He is already a very busy boy!

He started solid foods! He's tried rice cereal, avocado, butternut squash, sweet potatoes, peas, green beans, bananas, and carrots. It started off well - but he quickly decided he didn't like food very much... Now he likes to eat his bib more than the food!

I bought him a shirt and pants outfit the other day, and he looks so old when he wears it!

He started taking naps on his side! He seems so grown up when I see him turn to his side and fall asleep. He also stopped wanting to be swaddled at night - what a big guy!
